Is it right to ask a Comedian if his act will be the same or different?

So Kristen and I watched Jim Gaffigan on Comedy Central- Beyond the Pale this weekend and we think he is awesome.

Well Kristen went on his site and saw that he is appearing on March 31st @ Hard Rock. So I decided to email him and ask him if his March 31st show would be the same that we saw on Comedy Central.

So the question is- Is it alright to email a comedian and ask him if he would be doing the same act or some new things... Is it wrong or do we have the right to ask?

We figured to email him and ask him. I did not think he would email me back, but he did !!! He told me that it would be mix of the tv special and new stuff. Looking forward to seeing Jim Gaffigan on the 31st @ Hard Rock!
