I have a Dry Socket...
I am miserable! I found out today my wisdom teeth now has a dry socket. A "dry socket" occur when either an adequate blood clot has failed to form in the extracted tooth's socket or the blood clot that did form has been dislodged and lost. Since the formation of a blood clot is an important part of the healing process, healing is delayed.
The typical dry socket produces a dull pain that doesn't appear until three or four days after the tooth has been extracted. The pain can be moderate to severe.
So I went to the dentist this morning and he filled my "dry socket" with medicated gauze. Let me tell you it numbs the pain and makes everything tastes like Red Hots or Spicy Cinnamon candy. Let me tell you- Red Hot bananas are not tasty. I get to visit my dentist for the next few morning to change the gauze. Well time to enjoy the refilled medication and try to get some sleep.
The whole time change sucks!!!
