Fay Friday!
Tropical Storm Fay continues to linger making for another wet, rainy, windy day. However today has proven to be a successful day for Bella- She ate, slept and pooped and most of all no episodes. We are on Day 5 of the medicine and all is great.
Bella passed her car seat test- They but her in her car seat for about an hour with her leads on to see how she reacts to being in the car seat. They measure her Oxygen, respiration and pulse. Then after an hour of that they lay her down and see how she does. Like expected she passed!
I wish we could have seen her in the car seat but we missed it (don't worry- I am sure pictures will be taken while driving home).
Kristen went to see her OB today because of a hard bulge above her incision. She asked the doctor if he had left an instrument inside of her. Thankfully he didn't and it seems to be a pocket of fluid, that can alleviated with a heat compress.
I got a haircut today- its pretty short. Kristen was not thrilled about it and one of the doctors laughed at me ( i mean a good belly laugh). Both of them saluted me- since its a buzz cut. I figured my hair grows quick and for the 1st month + I will not have time for haircuts.
We had some great nurse today like everyday so far. We are blessed with how wonderful they have been with us and how much we have learned. They have also allowed us to get the necessary sleep and rest- especially Kristen.
We found out that tomorrow is our Apnea/CPR class. So we get to learn about the machine and also get to sleep with Bella in a room with no leads or nurse- just us, Bella and the Apnea monitor (if we need a nurse - they will be around to help).
One of the people at the RMH made dinner for the house. That is pretty impressive considering she just had a C-section and a baby in the NICU.
While Kristen got some rest I got to spend some quality time with Bella- I changed her diaper, took her temp, fed her and burped her. The nurse said I looked more comfortable with Bella then the 1st time she saw me with her last week. So that is nice to hear. I also know that Bella notices it.
So at the rate we are going- Bella should be heading home early next week. So lets hope she continues to do well and we have her home in no time.
My parents are eager to come up and are coming to take the Apnea/CPR class tomorrow and spend next week at home with us. So that should make for a fun week- as well as be very helpful to us.
Well more tomorrow. Night
