Bella is Spinal Tap
After Doctors rounds- The Dr came and spoke to us on how Bella reacted positively to phenylbarb. He wanted to go a head with a Spinal tap to rule out the wide variety of diseases or infections (ie. meningitis).
The results are in and the Spinal tap came back negative. They are going to wait and see on the results of the blood cultures to see if any bacteria or organisms are growing in her blood. If that is negative and she continues to be apnea episode free with the Phenylbarb for the next 5 to 7 days- we get to take her home. There are still talks about an Apnea monitor, but we will know more in the coming week.
The bad part about the Phenylbarb is that Bella gets very sleepy, but continues to eat great and enjoyed lots of cuddle time with mommy. She is officially a hi-tech baby. I picked up her iPod Shuffle with iSpeakers with some Rockabye Baby! Lullaby renditions we love them: Check it out. Click here
We now have WiFi in the Ronald McDonald House and I am Loving It!
If this was not complicated enough - we now have to decide, thanks to Fay, if we are staying in at Ronald McDonald House or staying in at the Hospital for the day. Lets hope Fay weakens. All the nurses and Dr have to hunker down and stay 24 hours thanks to Fay!
