The haircut dilemma
I use to get a haircut with our friend Debby and I would schedule the appointment with her because she knew how to cut hair and I knew I would get a great haircut. She cut my hair for about 4 years. She is awesome and she moved out of Orlando. Not awesome!
For the past year or so I have been going to different places trying to find a place to get a decent haircut and maybe find a regular person to cut my hair. I have tried the sports haircut places, the Great clips, Haircuttery, Supercuts all those types of places.
I started going to this one particular person for about 4 months (I get a haircut every 3 week to a month). I went there cause it was close and it was empty when I got there and I got a decent haircut. The manager gave me the cut and I thought it was nice. Kristen approved. So I went again and had to wait a little bit longer this time to get a haircut from him, but I thought it was worth it and it was alright. The 3rd time it was an even longer wait and the haircut was not as good as the 1st and this week I waited even longer then that and I did not get a great clip job. It becomes a game of is it worth waiting to get a bad haircut.
Of course you don't know if the haircut is bad because once he finishes he gels it up and styles it a way you never will get to recreate and you do not see it in what it will look like when you do it.
The dilemma becomes that if I go there again and say I am in a rush -I'll take 1st available and lets say I get someone else and I like the person that cuts my hair better and want to go back to them. Especially if you are willing to wait for the new stylist.
BTW- The whole haircut gel thing so you don't really see your real hair cut is similar to the lights department stores have in woman's fitting rooms (Seinfeld episode) where they they look good and when they get home it doesn't.
