Random Thought: Cell Phone and cash registers

What is it about people on cell phones when they are checking out or ordering something. Do you really need to be on the phone? Only time you need to be on the phone- Your a Dr, a Cop, ambulance/EMT getting called in, calling and getting somebodys order. Other then that get off the phone and wait till your done ordering or getting rung up.
