So what is it about this show? Over 40 million watch it. 33 million vote for their next idol.

It is one of the few shows that all types of people watch and talk about it. Who got kicked off and who will be your next American Idol.

It is amazing that it has such a mass appeal. Of course most of the networks, do not want to match up vs Idol. So that means not too many available options to watch on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Why do you watch it? I think we watch it at first for the people that think they can sing and are just a train wreck. You then just get hooked and keep watching. Then people start talking about it and next thing you know you have wasted over 2 hours watching people be part of Sanjaya's Universe.
