UCF Football: Stands for Missed Opportunity

It is very hard not to be discouraged and heart broken with UCF football.
No matter what we do, we can never find the way to win the game and if its a big game forget it. If its on ESPN- then you bet its a loss. Our team shoots themselves in the foot when the game is on the line.

If it is not a fumble on the 1 yard line, a pick for 6pts or a botched field goal/extra point, it's a false start or getting sacked 3 out of the last 4 down in the final minutes of a game.

I am tired of hearing from non-UCF fans- "You should have won", "I am sorry", "You almost won". "Tough loss". I want to hear "Great Win", "You guys came to play".

The UF, FSU, UM fans- they do not undertand what UCF fans are going through. They are devastated if they finish 8-4. We would love a UF, FSU, UM down year.

It is just painful being a UCF football fan. I have endured an 0-17 losing streak, the perfect season (o-11),and enough moral victories to fill the lifetime of many fans.

We are labeled the "Sleeping Giant" and we are young and must be patient. Just hard to do that when you are putting our hard earned money into a program and seeing great facilites and not getting those results.

I know Coach O'Leary is a good coach and I know that we have to give him some time to have his recruits and systems be in his system. However it is hard to be patient when we started tasting that success (last season- CUSA East Division champs and went Bowling in Hawaii) and this year it feels like we reverted to 2005 and we are not better as a team.

It feels like a parent who constantly gets disappointed by there child. You love them no matter what!

Regardless I will be there, cheering and supporting UCF. I will forever bleed Black & Gold. I will be there when we make that step and when that Giant awakens!
